Even if you are reasonably sure your selected house is in good shape there a many reasons it is a benefit to hire a home inspector. The best reason is that home inspectors are skilled in finding flaws that are not obvious, this could save you thousands of dollars in repairs. Also most home owners defer or "put off" needed maintenance that should have already been performed. A roof covering that is well past it's useful life is expensive to replace and a purchaser should not have to burden the cost oi replacing those shingles after they are already shot!
